About Karusphere

KaruSphère is a study and research office whose mission is the scientific analysis of Caribbean geoscience.
This young and dynamic company specializes in the fields of air pollution, water pollution, climate change and waste.

Sensitized very early on to the environmental issues facing the Guadeloupe archipelago, its president Thomas PLOCOSTE chose to specialize in the physico-chemical study of pollutants in tropical environments. In 2008, during his end-of-study Master 2 internship at the National Institute for Agronomic Research of the Antilles (Duclos – Petit-Bourg), his research work focused on the impact of rainfall and Evapotranspiration in Basse-Terre of Guadeloupe for a Chlordecone leaching model.

Then, following this work carried out from 2009 to 2013, he wrote a thesis at the University of the West Indies (Fouillole – Pointe-à-Pitre) on the nocturnal dispersion of atmospheric pollutants from the Gabarre landfill.

His integration at the University of the West Indies from 2013 to 2018 as a temporary teaching and research associate, then as a research engineer, enabled him to continue his research work on atmospheric pollution in tropical environments.

On the strength of this career rich in experiences, Thomas PLOCOSTE founded in November 2018 KaruSphère
