The serial events date back to the late Ottoman rule of Syria (late nineteenth and early twentieth century). The series tells the story of a man (Nassar) whose wife died during childbirth because his mother went to the home of the Abu Hashem family, which is prominent in the neighborhood to help Umm Hashem deliver her baby. When Abu Hashem heard about the birth of a male child, God promised that he would go on foot to the Hajj when his son reached the age of seven. Years pass and the boy turns seven and some neighborhood residents prepare to go on Hajj, including Nassar and his mother. Nassar, who wants to present to the daughter of Abu Hashem (Lotfiya) before going for Hajj, believes that her father is delaying the matter because he rejects Nassar. Nassar gets into a fight with the bakery workers when he steps in to protect an orphan boy (Rida). He is imprisoned for two days, during which he is subjected to ill-treatment. On Hashem's seventh birthday, his father throws a birthday party and invites the majority of the neighborhood's residents to his home, as does the head of the police station (Yuzbashi Helmy). When Nassar gets out of prison, he sets his sights on revenge on the head of the police department. Nassar goes to the party and shoots the police chief, but a bullet hits Hashem in the chest. Nassar immediately escapes and meets Sayyah, another wanted man. Sayah and Nasar go to the cemetery to hide and become friends. Hashem is rescued by his uncle, the doctor. The pilgrims go on their long journey to Mecca as planned, despite Hashem's injury. Nassar requests to meet Arafa in order to meet his mother. Karkar, an informant for the chief of police, hears that Arafa met Nassar while talking to his friend. Arafa is arrested, and forced to report to the police station where Nassar is. The police go to the cemetery, and heavy gunfire begins. Sayyah is killed, but Arafat and Nasar manage to escape. Nassar and Arafa will end up in an orchard. The events are tracked and Nassar is sentenced to death, and Arafa is sentenced to five years in prison after fabricating the charge of trying to kill the governor of Nassar. After a few days of staying overnight, they reached a chivalrous man (Abu Jawad) who lives with his family in Douma. Because Nassar wants to meet his mother before going to Palestine. Jawad goes to Shagour to bring Nassar's mother to Douma, but Jawad is arrested after being suspected. Trouble continues for Nassar, and the search for a horse begins. Nassar kidnapped Karkar to witness and confess to Jawad's whereabouts, but he was killed when Karkar tried to kill Jawad's brother, Nadim. Then Nassar burned the bakery to distract the police force as he entered the police station to search for a horse. He fails to find him and released some prisoners instead. Nassar and Arafa go back to Moghar, where they settled. Some young men join them, and it turns out that they were the ones who were released. Nassar asks for help from a student who works for Abu Hashim in a perfume store. A student is required to enter Hakimadaria prison with the help of the private driver of the Deputy Governor (judgment is Dar).
