Karawang, September 2000
At that time the evening was not over, but darkness began to cover most of the city of Karawang. Black clouds rolled in and hung low on the horizon. Every now and then the sky rumbled accompanied by bright flashes of light splitting the dark clouds. The sun's rays couldn't even penetrate the thick cloud. The strong wind blew the dust along the Jambe Bay road.
People seemed busy packing clothes in their yard. Someone shouted anxiously as the wind blew some of the clothes he was picking up. Others rushed to get their motorbikes into the house. It looks like it will rain heavily this afternoon.
