Mrityunjay Govind Rao alias Gattu Babu is a middle class farmer family named Pathardeva, located east of Ramkola. For many generations, his family has been devoted to religious and social work. His father late Shri Ramji Govind Rao continued to serve the village as village head for 27 consecutive years. Gattu Babu has also struggled with agriculture and his problems since childhood and continues to bring new improvements in agriculture with his hard work and dedication.
To conserve water for agricultural work, they have planned to store water by making puddles inside the drains. In order to protect the crops from floods, efforts are being made in public as well as privately by taking support from all the villages to deepen and widen the drains.
Gattu Babu believes that if the farmers are saved from the monster of flood, their sugarcane is dried, the paddy is drowned, then the crop and income of the farmers will be four times. Farming will become not just a compulsion but a source of respect.
