This e-book was selected for the Korea Publishing Culture Industry Promotion Agency (KPIPA) ‘2019 E-book Production Support for Enhanced Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities’ project.
'I'm Good Alone' is an e-book for children and adolescents who are having difficulties in acquiring self-help skills. This e-book introduces 41 self-help skills that children and adolescents must acquire to live independently in the form of videos, photos, and sentences.
For 41 situations, we refer to the life skills domain (individual, family, community) of the Korean version of the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scale (K-Vineland-II) (Soon-Taek Hwang, Ji-Hye Kim, and Sang-Hang Hong, 2015) that evaluates daily life adaptive behavior functions. It includes various levels of actions, from simple actions such as drinking water to complex actions such as going to the bakery or helping a friend. Children and adolescents can learn about the procedures of each self-help technique by watching the video, and can check and review what they have learned through the process of matching the cards with pictures and sentences in order.
This e-book was planned by Yonsei University's Department of Psychology and Behavioral Psychology Lab with the support of the Publication Culture Promotion Agency, and was produced by KDMT and published by ABA Behavioral Development Institute in Korea.
