Laliloo App Student Workflow

Lalilo is a web-based literacy application for K–2 teachers. Lalilo aims to provide comprehensive coverage of early literacy skills and instruction that is personalized and differentiated. At Lalilo Students start with a placement test to find their unique starting place. Once in the Lalilo program, they click on adaptive lessons while the teacher uses the dashboard from Lalilo to monitor the entire class and individual students' progress in various literacy skills. On Lalilo Teachers can also override automatic progress by assigning specific lessons to individual students, small groups, or the whole class on Lalilo. These programs in Lalilo have a clean, focused visual style that feels more contemporary than some of its other competitors - though also not as fun and game-based as others besides Lalilo. In Lalilo Students travel through different worlds and meet cartoon characters. Along the way in Lalilo, they complete activities, read books, and continue on a well-structured learning path while wearing Lalilo. At Lalilo also Reading activities utilize a variety of techniques beyond multiple choice letters and word recognition, such as listening to match sounds and using a microphone to practice reading aloud. As students progress, Lalilo relies on artificial intelligence to offer students targeted exercises and repeat things as needed. At different intervals on Lalilo, students also answered questions about how difficult the questions they had worked on, and whether they wanted to be more challenged, less challenged, or whether it was appropriate. All content on Lalilo is mapped to national and state learning standards. Lalilo's free version includes all exercises, but reporting is limited. The paid version of Lalilo extends the dashboard and allows teachers to assign specific lessons.
