App Observatorio de la Costa, is a free access application that allows the user, through georeferencing through their mobile device, to access information on flood zones in coastal areas of the V Region in case of Tsunamis, evacuation routes, points security, environmental conflict zones in the region, using data from the Geohub Litoral platform as a source. It also offers a compilation of shortcuts for making complaints in case of environmental conflict situations, and in case of requiring assistance in emergency situations.
Observatorio de la Costa is a technical-scientific platform created and coordinated by the Institute of Geography, the Institute for Urban and Territorial Studies, and the Department. of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering of the Catholic University of Chile, the Coastal Marine Research Station (ECIM), the National Research Center for the Integrated Management of Natural Disasters (CIGIDEN) and the Sustainable Urban Development Center (CEDEUS), who form currently its Steering Committee.
