We cater to emerging musicians by making sure that they NEVER have to compete with the big money of the big name artists. If anyone gets TOO popular on Latitune, we'll consider them a celebrity, and we'll be forced to "Graduate" them from the site. This is so the #1 spots always stay open.
Latitune is also the first site to award performance with "badges" that have to be earned. Once a badge is earned it stays on an artists' profile as bragging rights for all to see.
