About Cari Keadilan

Cari Justice is a digital platform for free online legal consultations by utilizing internet media.
Based on the year-end records of the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation compiled from the number of complaints received by 16 LBH offices throughout Indonesia, there were 2,831 cases throughout 2020, while in 2019 the number of complaints that came through LBH offices under YLBHI reached 4,174 cases. This shows a fairly drastic decrease. The decrease in the number of case complaints raises the question, has the need for legal aid been met so that the community does not need legal assistance or is it the other way around, that it is increasingly difficult for the community to access legal aid? Of course, it is suspected that the temporary decrease in the number of complaints is caused by the limited mobility and space for people to move, which is the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The technological approach has the potential to be used to address the issue of access to justice, that what is meant by a technological approach is the use of internet technology and smartphones, which are growing day by day and the number of users is increasing.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic hit Indonesia, almost all human activities have been carried out via the internet network, thus creating new habits in society in carrying out their daily activities. This is shown by the increase in the number of internet users in Indonesia in 2019-2020. Based on the results of a survey by the Association of Indonesian Internet Service Providers (APJII), currently the penetration of Indonesian internet users is 73.7 percent, up from 64.8 percent in 2018. When combined with figures from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) projection, Indonesia's population in 2019 totaled 266,911,900 million, so that Indonesia's internet users are estimated at 196.7 million users.

Every day, people come from various regions throughout Indonesia to come to the LBH-YLBHI offices. They are victims of legal injustice who request legal assistance from LBH-YLBHI. From the community for the community is the best way to contribute. The large number of cases that have come in has made LBH Jakarta unable to operate on its own.
