Public service is an important element to improve the quality of life of the people. The 1945 Constitution mandates that the state is obliged to serve every citizen and resident to fulfill their basic rights and needs within the framework of public services. Likewise, improving services in the health sector is an issue that needs attention. This is in accordance with the vision, mission and superior program of the Mayor of Tegal 2019-2024 in the health sector, namely improving access and equitable health services through improving the quality and quantity of health services, providing medical facilities and infrastructure according to standards and increasing life expectancy.
One of the public services that are greatly needed by the people of Tegal City is emergency services. Emergency department is a clinical condition that requires immediate medical treatment to save lives and prevent disability. In emergency situations, prompt and appropriate treatment is needed to save lives and prevent disability.
On the other hand, related to matters of health care, the people of Tegal city are still faced with the problem of not getting emergency services quickly before the hospital (before coming to the Emergency Department), so patients are late to get fast, appropriate and quality treatment. Often when needing emergency services or emergency services must go to the health service center or hospital by using private vehicles and public transportation. Whereas emergency conditions experienced by the community need to get immediate help and according to standards.
With this framework in mind, the idea of change that we compiled takes the title: LEKON-TANGI (Emergency Service of Kardinah Hospital Online-Quickly Come and Deal). Kardinah City Hospital of Tegal presents innovations in the handling of pre-hospital medical emergencies, namely handling before patients enter the Emergency Department (IGD), can be at home, offices, schools, highways, attractions and so on. Emergency Management is carried out by the emergency team of Kardinah Tegal Hospital. The aim of this new innovation is the achievement of optimal, directed and integrated pre-hospital emergency services for the people of Tegal City. There are 4 innovations in pre-hospital emergency services namely 24-hour non-stop emergency information with call centers and android-based applications that are able to provide emergency information needs quickly and accurately, emergency pickup service by ambulance with intensive room standards, action on-site medical, observation and treatment of emergency conditions accompanied by education and referral to hospital emergency departments.
