Encrypted, reliable, and cloud-based, the LifeSignals platform collects up to 7 days of continuous 2-channel ECG and multi-parameter vital sign data from the LifeSignals Wearable Biosensor(1), placed on the patient’s chest, and transmits the data via this Relay Application (App) to a secure server, where clinicians and care providers can access near real-time biosensor data to facilitate informed decisions.
Patients can be monitored remotely at an affordable cost, using a disposable wireless biosensor that is comfortable to wear, shower resistant and due to being single use, reduces the risk of cross contamination between healthcare provider and patient.
The Relay App can be downloaded onto a compatible mobile phone or tablet and manages the wireless communication between the Biosensor and the LifeSignals Secure Server.
The Relay App can be used with the current portfolio of LifeSignals Wearable Biosensors – see compatible Biosensors listed below.
The Relay App performs the following functions:
· Manages secured wireless communication (WLAN 802.11b) between mobile phone or tablet and the LifeSignals Wearable Biosensor.
· Manages encrypted communication between the mobile phone or tablet and a Remote Secure Server.
· Provides a form to register patient's details.
· Verifies the Biosensor is valid to start monitoring, on scanning of its QR code.
· Receives 2 channel ECG and Respiratory signals(2) from the Biosensor and presents the waveforms to the clinician to verify optimal Biosensor placement on the patient.
· Transfers continuous 2-channel ECG and physiological vital sign data (parameters vary dependent on the Biosensor model) to Secure Server.
· Enables the patient to record alert events and report symptoms
· Permits clinician to terminate patient monitoring session.
