In rural areas, it has become essential to have public or private transportation in order to have access to all those services that we consider basic (health, administration, education, commerce ...), as well as to have access to a job, which are usually concentrated in the capitals of the municipality.
But at the same time, one of the main problems presented by the rural people is the problem of mobility, both between the towns of the territory and between the towns and provincial capitals (to which it is sometimes necessary to go to certain issues that can not be resolved in the region), and that public transport lines provide such limited services that barely cover the needs that exist or the circumstances of families (elderly people, families with limited resources, lack of driving license ...) hinder mobility.
The district of Las Merindades is not exempt from this difficulty, where 5 towns of more than 380 concentrate practically all of these services and more than 70% of non-agricultural employment. A difficulty that especially affects elderly and young people without their own vehicle, but that is extendable to the entire population and that supposes a demand and investment that does not occur in the urban environment.
Starting from the objective of improving the quality of life of the people that make up our region by providing them access to different services and together with the promotion of sustainable and ecological mobility, the fact of being able to share a car is a very good solution. For this reason, it seems essential to have a tool of this type, which makes it possible to put needs and wills in contact.
This application would make it possible to put people in contact with a need for transportation within the territory, with those who frequently move there and who are committed to making their trips more sustainable and social. As well as with those people who move outside the territory to carry out negotiations or other activities.
