CLT

CLT is a handy tool to help the design of structures made of composite laminates by performing Classical Lamination Theory (CLT).

The elastic properties of a unidirectional lamina, the laminate stacking sequence, and the applied loads and temperature gradient are given as input. Both the elastic properties of the unidirectional lamina and the laminate stacking sequence can be saved into an internal database and retrieved in future sessions.

The app calculates the elastic properties of the laminate, and, if loads have been defined, the stresses and strains in each ply, in the external and material coordinate systems. All the data can be exported in text format for further elaboration.

Although instructions are given throughout the app, faimiliarity with the Classical Lamination Theory is encouraged before using CLT, as the theoretical background is not provided.
