During the time of Emperor Yizong of the Tang Dynasty, there was a national teacher who knew Xuan Wu Da. When he was young before he was named a national teacher, he visited the jungle and placed an order in an unknown monastery. It happened that another monk also placed an order. The monastery, but the monk was seriously ill, his body was covered with sores, and he made an unpleasant odor, so no one wanted to interact with him. The national teacher lived next to him and sympathized with his illness. , I often take care of him, without the feeling of disgusting avoidance at all.
Soon the sick monk recovered from his illness, and went on his own for the sake of the Dao Karma. At the time of parting, the monk thanked the monk Zhixuan for his virtues and morals, and said to him, "If you have difficulty in coming, Please come to Jiulong Mountain in Pengzhou, Xishu, and I will try to save your disaster. Remember that the two big pine trees on the left side of the mountain are connected together. That is the sign of where I live." After speaking, he left.
Later, for the monk Zhixuan because of his high morals, Tang Yizong admired him very much, so he named him the master of Wuda and gave him the throne decorated by Chenxiangzhuang. After sitting on the throne, the master of Wuda developed a thought of arrogance, thinking that he is now alone. Below ten thousand people, so from this moment on, a human face sore appeared on the knee, which looked exactly like a human face. Every time he was fed with food and drink, he was able to open his mouth to eat like a human, Wu Da At that time, the national teacher was in agony, and he invited famous doctors from all over the world, but every famous doctor could not heal him.
At this moment, the national teacher suddenly remembered what the sick monk who lived with him said farewell, so he went to Jiulong Mountain in Pengzhou, Xishu, to look for it. One day, it was getting late, and suddenly I saw two pine trees standing side by side, and then I looked forward to a magnificent temple and the monk. The two saw each other very happily, and the Chinese teacher told him the strange disease he was suffering from, the monk. He comforted him and told the national teacher not to worry, just wash it with clear spring water. Early the next morning, the monk ordered a child to lead the national teacher to clean by the stream of the clear spring under the rock. When the national teacher was about to hold water to wash the facial sores, the facial sores actually shouted: "You can't wash it! You have a vast knowledge and profound insights. But I don’t know if I have ever read the books of the Western Han Dynasty. Did Yuan An and Chao mistakenly tell?” The teacher replied, “I have read it.” The sore face said, “Yuan An of the past is you, and Chao Cuo is me. At that time, when Chao Cuo was cut in the waist, I was resentful, so I have been seeking revenge for many generations, but you have been a high-minded monk for ten generations. The Ring God is guarding me in the dark, so that I have no chance of revenge. , Now you have been favored and moved a thought of fame and fortune. Invisible virtue has been lost. For this reason, I can approach your side to avenge. Now the saint Canoga comes forward to mediate and give me the water of samādhi ( This samādhi water is the samādhi water blessed by the samādhi of the Venerable Kanoga), which allows me to be liberated. From now on, I will no longer be embarrassed by you."
Guo Da was rescued by the saint and washed away the old grievances of many lives. Therefore, he was written as a confession book, and it was recited in the morning and evening respectfully to repay the kindness of the great saint. He was named the compassionate samadhi water confession. Facial sores, untie the cause of the two years of misconduct.
When the public today repents in worship, they should initiate a sincere and pure heart with the help of the patriarch’s virtues, deeds and words and teachings, and wash away our tired dust with samādhi water.
