The application is able both to warn the driver when he is near areas with a high risk of crossing wild animals and to report an accident with wildlife to the competent provincial body. At the moment the zones concern only the province of Cuneo but the extension to other provinces is expected.
The application can be activated and deactivated at any time and is independent of the navigation system used.
The application uses a list of areas and times with the greatest risk of collision that emerged from a research project that involved the University of Eastern Piedmont and the Province of Cuneo.
The application accesses the user's location in the background, even when the app is closed, in order to monitor and detect access to and exit from areas that have been identified as potentially dangerous for the crossing of animals wild.
The application does not store any information on the position of the device, but it is only used for detecting the current position.
At any time, the user can interrupt the detection of the position, by exiting the app through the appropriate button.
