The book shows how the anatomical features of different parts of the spine affect the mutation of pain mechanisms during degeneration of the intervertebral discs. Recommendations are given taking into account the dual (neuro-tissue) nature of the mechanisms of chronic pain. An output to practice was an individual approach to eliminating pain in each of these departments during remission and during an exacerbation of osteochondrosis. The book is intended for a wide range of readers. It will be especially useful to family doctors. People with pain will be interested in getting the right ideas about their illness and learning about previously unused pain management options.

About the authors:
Yuri Fedorovich Kamenev - a well-known specialist in the field of pain medicine in Russia, in which he has been working for over 30 years, doctor of medical sciences (1990), author of more than 180 scientific publications and many monographs. For scientific achievements in various fields of clinical medicine, Yu.F. Kamenev was nominated six times by leading medical institutions in St. Petersburg and Moscow for the title of State Prize in Science and Technology. For many years (since 1977) he worked at the Central Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics. N.N. Priorova (Moscow, Russia), where he headed the research laboratory, department, participated in the organization and led the work of the Pain Center. The main works are devoted to clinical bioenergetics, the use of the “ultra-low dose effect” for medicinal purposes, foot and pelvic surgery, and the study of human susceptibility when using individual armor protection. His name is associated with the discovery of a fundamental position in Pain Medicine - tissue determinism of the mechanisms of the emergence and elimination of pain (the pain law of Yu.F. Kamenev). Based on this position, the author for the first time in the world created the "Clinical Alphabet of Pain", which allows one to correctly understand the essence of chronic pain and successfully treat it. It is about restoring the dual (neuro-tissue) nature of the mechanisms of chronic pain.
