CBN-BA is a non-profit religious society, affiliated to the National Baptist Convention, created by the initiative of the National Baptist churches of the State of Bahia on July 10, 1973 under the name of Baptist Missionary Convention of Bahia. As of November 2, 1997, it started to be called the National Baptist Convention of the State of Bahia.
Constitution
CBN-BA is made up of National Baptist Churches of this State that stand for a genuine Spiritual Revival and believe in the experience of Baptism in the Holy Spirit, as well as, the practice of spiritual gifts as a reality for the Church of Christ present in the world.
Goals
The National Baptist Convention of the State of Bahia aims to plan and coordinate the cooperative work of the churches affiliated to it, creating departments or bodies linked to it that aim to develop the work of Evangelism and Missions, Theological and Secular Education, Social Assistance, the production of Literature Christian or other activity compatible with its nature, for the purpose of promoting the Kingdom of God in accordance with the deliberations of the General Assembly.
Historic
CBN-BA was organized with 14 churches on July 10, 1973 under the name of Baptist Missionary Convention of the State of Bahia. The first Conventional Assembly was held at the Batista Bethel Church in Vitória da Conquista, with President Jurandir Miguel Martins dos Santos as president.
Pioneers
The pioneers of our Convention in Bahia were the pastors: Artur de Souza Freire, Misael Sena de Silva, Jurandir Miguel M. dos Santos, Sinval Garcia, José Rodrigues and Isaías Cardoso. These workers, inflamed by the anointing of the Holy Spirit, established stakes and established landmarks that today are represented there by 86 Churches and 120 Congregations and about 110 pastors. Who raised the banner of Spiritual Renewal under the motto “Nobody owns is a Holy Work!”.

Today the National Baptist Convention of the State of Bahia seeks to maintain the initial vision of its pioneers in the expansion of the Kingdom of God with the anointing of the Holy Spirit in a world in crisis!
In order to support the National Baptist Churches of our State, CBN-BA has implemented a strengthening work in the most diverse areas encompassing the denominational ecclesiastical scope.
