Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism Sufism, Irfan and Meydan Meşkler Community was established in 2018. Since its establishment, it has been performing the Sufi culture, cult rites and ceremonies, which have reached us from our ancient culture and are on the verge of being forgotten, in historical buildings such as kulliye, madrasah, dervish lodge and asitâne, which have been restored by our state from the past to the present, as well as various concert halls. The love that has been conveyed through ceremonies throughout history in dervish lodges, which are seen as a school of lore, has now been offered to the benefit of our nation with the community established under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.
To be especially mentioned, the Mevlevi rites, which constitute the pinnacle of Turkish Music, start with the naat accompanied by saz players (instrument players) called mutrib and hanendes (reciters), and are completed with the recitation of the Qur'an, followed by the rite composed of Persian lyrics. Meanwhile, the whirling dervishes chant “Allah Allah” in a light, that is, silent way. These Mevlevi Rites are performed in Mevlevihanes.
In addition to the Mevleviyeh, ceremonies performed by sects such as Halveti, Kadiri, Rıfâî, Bedevi, Vefâî, and Sadî are performed in the aforementioned community. These dhikrs vary such as Kuud, Kıyam, Devran, Bedouin Cannonball, Vefa Era, Zenbûrî dhikr, and are brought together with our nation under the leadership of competent people in accordance with their methods. Again in these ceremonies, people called zakiran (chanting) recite the hymns arranged in accordance with the rhythm, composition and maqam and establish a bond and harmony between dhikr.
T.R. For the first time in history, with the financial and moral support of the Ministry of Culture, oblivion ceremonies such as the Remembrance of Devran and the Age of Loyalty were recorded as a documentary by the Department of Sufism, Irfan and Square Mechs.
The works that have been composed and read in palaces, mosques and lodges throughout history are performed by the Group in places in accordance with the original under the name of "Âsitâne Meşkler". The divine lyrics belonging to the elders of the sect are explained with annotation. Thus, in the tawhidhanes of the lodges called Meydan, volunteer dervish people are trained in Meydan training in a wise way.
In these historical and spiritual places, works in similar forms such as şugul, tawsih, stop, naat and qasida are performed by the ensemble. The works that were notated in Ottoman Turkish and forgotten on the dusty shelves were researched, deciphered and recorded and brought to our civilization. Individuals who are good at music and conversation in our culture have taught their students the knowledge they possessed with love. In this way, the conversations of those who are knowledgeable in music and knowledge are taught to their listeners through hymns and speeches.
