The birth of the Amicale 1978
The memory of those who took part in the birth of our association, Michele Cattaneo Honorary Member.
The idea came from a group of great chefs of German-speaking cuisine who had chosen Ticino as their place of work.
In 1978, the great and charismatic Chef of the Reber Hotel in Muralto Fritz Steiner personally invited me to a meeting whose purpose was to create an association and find a venue that would allow them to meet each other in friendship, exchange ideas and exchange ideas.
The first committee was composed as follows: Jaky Donatz president, Heinz Wenger, Ivo Bader, Alfred Markwalder, Carlo Schmed and Hubert Urban.
After 40 years I remember all these people with great friendship. I am proud to still belong to this Association with a new committee, young and in step with the times.
