Founded in 1956, the Junior Libertas Casale Monferrato makes the climb up to the second national championship in 1964 in the first years of life. After relegation and the next season of 22 victories in as many matches it is again promoted to second tier Serie A. Subsequently a descending parable begins which leads the rossoblù society to compete in the Serie D and Promotion championships until 1994, when the victory and subsequent promotion in Serie C2 arrives, a category in which the Junior remains until 1999, the year of the promotion in C1. 2000 is the year of change. Dr. Giancarlo Cerutti, CEO of Officine Meccaniche Cerutti, takes over the club: two consecutive promotions bring the Junior into Serie B1 and among professionals in 2005, with the victory of the Italian Amateur Cup and the subsequent promotion in Legadue after the victory in the playoff final against Forlì. The Junior, in the following seasons, stands on the high floors of the second Italian championship, participating in the playoffs in five consecutive seasons, coming to conquer a place in the Olympus called Serie A: it is June 23, 2011, Fastweb Casale arrives for the first once in its history in the top league by winning match 5 of the final against Reyer Venice. In just 90 days the Municipal Administration delivers a renewed and extended PalaFerraris; the group Elah Dufour Novi, already a partner of Junior, decides to give the team its name: Novipiù Casale Monferrato can therefore debut in Serie A. The season proves unfortunate: injuries, negative episodes and defeats in the sprint do not allow the Junior to find the necessary trust. From relegation to Legadue we start again with new vigor and, having overcome the difficult summer of 2013 with the intervention of the “RiaccendiamolA” movement together with the continuation of the project thanks to the share base and a significant reduction in the budget, the adventure in Legadue continues with a quiet salvation. From 2014/2015 the rossoblùs return to dispute the playoffs with constancy, winning a semi-final in 2015 and a final in 2018. The Junior faces the 2019/20 season with a record of 11 participations in the playoffs in the last 12 seasons.
