The history trail app is based on the historical trail around the former coal mine Saxony. To this end, the Martin Luther School in cooperation with the local Knappenverein has created a path with information boards on the former site of the Saxon mine. After the opening of the path, the pupils had the idea to make the path accessible to visually impaired people and digitize it in parallel in a stand-alone app. Thanks to funding from the RAG Foundation, the NRW Foundation and the City of Hamm, an app for the visually impaired, including an augmented reality app for visually impaired people, has been developed in cooperation with Musion. The scoring of the information boards was handled by the mayor of the city of Hamm, Thomas Hunsteger-Petermann.
