DCR-Cashew Nutrient Manager has been developed by ICAR-Directorate of Cashew Research, Puttur with funding support of RKVY-RAFTAAR, Government of Karnataka. The app is developed to assist farmers and other stake holders in calculating the fertilizer requirement of cashew and apply nutrients as per the need of the plant and based on soil fertility levels. This shall help to avoid unnecessary excess application of fertilizer which can lead to wastage of resources and pollution of environment. Under application of fertilizer to the crop lead to reduced yield. Presently the app is available in two languages (English and Kannada). The app is designed to assess fertilizer requirement in all cashew growing regions of India.
