Load Combinations allows users to quickly define and calculate all of the possible load combinations based on their choice of actual Design Codes, Design Method and Load Types. The app allows users to choose their desired Design Code, their desired Design Method, choose what load types to include in their analysis, and enter the loads.
For Design Method choose from LRFD/Strength design, ASD/Service design or Extraordinary Events.
For Design Code choose between ASCE 7-16, ASE 7-10, IBC 2018, IBC 2015, ACI 318-14 and ACI 318-11.
Load Types include industry standard loads including Dead (D), Live (L), Roof Live Load (Lr), Snow (S), Rain (R), Wind (W), Seismic (E), Flood (Fa), Fluid (F), Pressure (H), Self-Straining (T), Dead Ice (Di), Wind-on-Ice (Wi), Extraordinary Events (Ak) and Notional (N). Users can choose any combination of loads they need from simple D + L to more complex.
Users can also allow for Live Load Reduction where the code permits.
Once the load information is entered, sit back and let the app calculate all of the various combinations defined in the Design Code so that they can easily identify the controlling load combination.
