Until the last century, seaports were used mainly for trade (including world trade) and fishing. But people have learned to distract themselves from all this and today they often spend their holidays on ships and travel the world. Many ports have turned into real attractions. They have withstood the test of time and have remained as beautiful as they were many centuries ago.
