Such a product as soap is obtained from natural fats or substitutes with sodium or potassium alkali. All vegetable oils and all animal fats, as well as oils and fats of marine animals and fish are suitable for making soap. Soap characterizes such a technical indicator as the percentage of fatty acids. In household soap, they range from 40 to 70%, in toilet soap — from 75 to 85%.
