The companions and supporters of the Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah, his defenders, and those who accompanied him and believed in his call and died for it. Companionship in language is attendant, accompaniment and cohabitation. The Companions accompanied the Messenger of God Muhammad bin Abdullah during most of his life after the call, and they helped him deliver the message of Islam and defended it several times.
