DFOS Glossary

Glossary of distributed fiber optic sensing terms created by the Fiber Optic Sensing Association (FOSA). FOSA is a non-profit organization created in Washington DC in 2017 with the mission of educating industry, government and the public on the benefits of fiber optic sensing. FOSA thanks the efforts of the FOSA Technology Committee for creation of the FOSA DFOS Glossary, in particular member companies AP Sensing, NKT Photonics, Omnisens and OptaSense.
