The function of the home automation system is to control any appliance in the house such as lights, fans, electric gates etc., using a mobile application on your smart device (smart phone, tablet). The hardware device will be constantly connected to the internet and it will be mounted on the power distribution box. The commands that the user enters into the mobile application will be delivered to the hardware device through a server. Then the device will control the appliances accordingly. There is also a two-way wiring switch on the wall to control it manually, which can also be used as a precautionary, alternative method in case there is a device or a mobile application failure. This device has to be installed during the construction phase when buildings are being wired.
