Pandit Gourishankar Shastri Ji

Born along the banks of the holy Narmada River in Hoshangabad District in a small village Sarra on 9th of August 1936 in Madhya Pradesh. Among the four sons of Shri Pandit Chotelal Dubey Ji (Purohit Dada) & Smt. Sumitra Devi, who belonged to Kanyakubj Brahman family. He is blessed by a daughter named Sneha Dubey, her husband also a famous astrologer in Hoshangabad, Sanjay Dubey and grandchildren Sanskar and Sanskriti. ‘Jyotishmurdhanya’ Pandit Gaurishankar Shastri, is very well known at the global level today, due to his successful and proficient activities for public interest. Pandit Gaurishanker Shartri faced many struggles from his childhood to up till now. But due the blessing of his parents & honourable Guru Shri Hariprapannacharya ji he was able to spread his valuable knowledge all over the world. After completing his education from Kashi Vidhyapeeth, he decided to enlighten the human beings around the world. 'Shastriji' as he is popularly known as, amongst his disciples travelled across the world from the 1990s to 1991 and benefited several of the aggrieved persons to become healthy & happy. By now he had already carved out a name for himself, and through the blessings of the worlds famous prophet Shri Maharshi Mahesh Yogi ji, he could light the lamp of knowledge when he established the Maharshi Vidhyapeeth along the banks of holy river Ma Narmada, near Hoshangabad. He graced the seat of Kulpati for seven years in the same institution. He has also established the Jyotishi Vidhyapeeth & Bhagvati Sanskrit Vidhyapeeth at Bhopal. He is continuously working for public welfare, charity and benevolence till today. Beside this, he also teaches and imparts the knowledge of Astrology (Jyotishi) to thousands of seekers of knowledge.

He has taught astrology, meditation and yoga in these countries and has also given discourses at length on ‘Shrimadbhagvad Geeta’ and ‘Ramkathamrit’.
