Upper West Creative Art Awards is a WhiteSpot Events initiative that intends to recognize hard work and promote creativity among young people across diverse categories of the creative art industry.
The objectives of this event are to recognise and reward hard work as imitable footprints for upcoming talents, create a sense of excellence among industry players. The maiden edition of the award was held in June, 2020 and received massive patronage among industry players, business community and the general public throughout the upper west region, the outstanding shines and impact of the award scheme in the industry saw reputable media house such as Ghana Broadcasting Corporation reporting the award scheme in the most listened 7:00pm evening news.
The underwritings for which the award scheme was planned is the general absence of industry motivational package for the creativity industry which fails to say ‘thank you’ for the hard work and service to the people of upper west region and Ghana in general. From musicians, sound engineers, fashion designers, visual artist, graphic designers, bloggers, radio presenters, among others, work hard creating content for media houses and the good people of upper west region for which they deserve recognition, the void upper west creative art awards confidently occupying.
