Beautiful Izmir is a visualization project that presents the rich geographic and statistical information from the Izmir Open Data Portal (https://acikveri.bizizmir.com/) on an interactive map. By exploring different thematic layers within the city, it provides useful information and key locations that allow users to visually and analytically understand the city's dynamics.
The application includes Disaster and Emergency Assembly Areas, Ancient Cities, Ancient City Structures, Vehicle Inspection Stations, Dam Occupancy Rates, Hospitals, Kiosks and Mansions, Towers, Monuments and Statues, Libraries, Mukhtar's Offices, Museums, Beaches, Blue Flag Beaches, Neighborhood Markets, Taxi Stands, Historical Buildings, Veterinary Offices, and WizmirNET (Free Wireless Internet) Hotspots. In the long term, it is planned to add features such as recent earthquakes, city cameras, as well as other datasets such as Pharmacies on Duty (independent of the Izmir Open Data Portal).
