Tastebudz offers three unique services that allow for digital ordering: Digital Menu, Waiter Mode and Menu Generator.
Digital Menu: With the Tastebudz app installed on smartphones having an NFC adapter, digital menus can be downloaded and orders can be sent to the waiter/waitress assigned to your table. Each item in the digital menu will have an image, a description, a list of ingredients, a calorie amount and price. As you order, Tastebudz keeps track of the items as well as total price and calories.
Waiter Mode: When a waiter registers his/her phone, they will receive orders associated with the group of tables they’ve been assigned. The orders will be recorded as usual and the food brought out when it is ready.
Menu Generator: Menus can be created from the user’s phone. Simply create an account and start generating a menu. When you’re done, place an encoded tag at each seat and people can begin to use your menu.
The advantage of Tastebudz is the NFC technology. With it, digital ordering can be achieved without having to use expensive tablets at each table. Digital menus can be realized which are much cheaper than standard, printed menus and can convey much more information.
