About DashPro
DashPro is the companion app for the XGPS DashPro precise positioning GNSS receiver from Dual Electronics and Axxera.
It must be running in the background to route your DashPro’s position to all other running location-based apps. It also allows you to:
● Activate your Skylark™ Precise Positioning Service subscription from Swift Navigation (included in the purchase of your XGPS DashPro or sold separately)
● Set configuration preferences and update firmware
● Monitor location status and satellite tracking details
● View DashPro’s battery level and charging status
● Mark points and record your route
Android devices require the “allow mock location” setting to be enabled in order to receive GPS information from an external device such as XGPS DashPro.
To enable this feature, you may first need to enable Developer Mode on your device, depending on the version of Android you are running. Please refer to your device’s instructions and follow the procedure to do so.
Once Developer Mode is enabled, follow the below steps:
- Open the DashPro app and go to the Status tab
- Check the “Mock GPS” checkbox to the right of “Position
Confidence”
- Scroll down and tap the option that mentions “Mock Location”
- Select the DashPro app
All apps on your device will now receive their location directly from your XGPS DashPro receiver. Please remember to let the DashPro app run in the background at all times.
