TEADAPTO is an application in development and research created with the aim of making the cultural heritage available to society more accessible to the population with ASD.
The TEADAPTO app was initially developed for the Pedagogical Museum of the University of Huelva, which preserves materials and resources from the history of education in Spain.
The TEADAPTO app is developed on the structure of the floor plan of the Pedagogical Museum of the University of Huelva, with its real routes and areas differentiated by colors and letters for easier identification by TEA users.
In addition, each area has photographs, illustrations and audio-described pictograms of the objects that are located there in order to facilitate the user's understanding of everything exposed.
Each color zone also includes different interactive games that make the visit more dynamic and fun, while new concepts are learned and internalized. We also include a dictionary with synonyms of the most relevant objects in each area.
The introduction to new technologies and the adaptation of language with the use of PICTOGRAMS and sounds are contemplated in TEADAPTO.
The app, still born as a university project, has been developed and reviewed by experts from different technical fields of development and design. It is currently in the process of validation and improvement.
