Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed was born on 1 February 1930, a renowned lawyer and 6th Chief Justice of Bangladesh and twice the acting President. He first served as the President from December 6, 1990 to October 9, 1991, until the President and subsequently under the Awami League government, from 23 July 1996 to 14 November 2001.
