‘SmilingBaby’ app is specially designed for assisting Mothers to luring babies.
While inside the womb around 24 weeks baby’s ears get developed and babies start hearing the sound.
Inside the womb the first sounds baby can hear are the sound of mother’s body, which includes mother beating heart i.e. heartbeat, air moving in and out of mother lungs, and even the sound of blood moving through the umbilical cord.
As babies continue to hear the mother’s heartbeat inside the womb they became more familiar to it and they start recognizing the same.
Upon the birth, it will be the big transition from mum’s belly to the cold and quiet outside world for baby. Little ones are often feels uneasy when they’re not close to their mothers, generally respond by crying and have difficulties falling asleep.
When you let them hear the heartbeat sounds that make them remember the nice habitual time before birth, they feel safer and they feel close to their mother. They will calm down and fall asleep better.
Keeping in mind the same we have designed and developed this app.
Using this app, mothers can play the heartbeat sound along with the soft music which would make feel their baby that the mother is closed to him/her and this would be effective way for calming and soothing a crying infant to sleep.
For using this app mother will need to download the app and register on the same with basic details.
Mother can record the heartbeat from the heartbeat recording facility provided at doctors i.e. Pediatricians and Gynecologists (initially in Pune region only)
Doctors will record and upload the heartbeat file to the app server with mother’s identification.
Then our audio processing team at the back-end will do the quality check of this file and release it for mothers to get it download from server.
Once the file is available for mother to download she can download this file in the app and start playing the same in the media player provided in the app.
The special media player is designed for this app which provides the facility to play the mother’s heartbeat along with the other calming and soothing music files.
You can easily add or remove the music files from the play list which makes it easy to play the music of your choice as per your need.
Just like your phone’s media player app, we have provided the looping facility, by using the same you can repeat all the music files in the play list, or single music file.
Moreover, the diminishing timer is provided inside the media player, which you can use if you wish to play the music/heartbeat for the specific period of time. You can start and set the timer as per your requirement.
Diminishing timer is count down timer, once start it starts count down the time, the volume level of the media player gradually starts decreasing as the timer goes down, and on finish of the timer the media player stops.
This facility is specially designed and provided, as it will be helpful to mothers as they will no need to remember to stop the player, as it will stop the player once the set time is over.
