The Primary School Standard CURRICULUM (KSSR) was introduced as an effort to restructure and improve the existing curriculum to ensure that students are provided with relevant knowledge, skills and values to meet current needs and face the challenges of the 21st century.
The implementation of KSSR to replace the New Primary School Curriculum (KBSR) starting the January 2011 school session aims to increase students' interest in English subjects.
KSSR is formulated in a standard statement consisting of content and learning standards that students need to achieve in one level of schooling.
Content Standards are specific statements about what students should know and be able to do during the school year covering aspects of knowledge, skills and values, while Learning Standards are the setting of criteria or indicators of measurable quality of learning and achievement for each content standard.
There are many DSKP that have been provided in this DSKP KSSM application including:
- DSKP Malay
- DSKP English
- DSKP Mathematics
- DSKP Science
- DSKP History
- DSKP Islamic Education
- DSKP Moral Education
- DSKP Physical Education and Health
- DSKP Visual Arts Education
- DSKP Design and Technology
and many other DSKPs that will be added from time to time.
