The Catholic Radio Teriya (RCT) is an initiative of the Diocese of Banfora. Created as a means of evangelization for the diocese, the RCT remains today a powerful and essential lever for social development. Transmitting from sector No. 7 of Banfora on the 94.7, the RCT first aimed to cover the territorial boundaries of the diocese whose boundaries correspond with those of the Cascades Region, before positioning itself as a catalyst for its listeners. In fact, since it was first broadcast on December 1, 2007, the programs have been produced for the benefit of all without distinction of religion or ethnicity. The RCT, which mainly covers the Cascades region, affects the neighboring Hauts-Bassins regions in Burkina Faso as well as the border coast of Côte d'Ivoire and Mali over a minimum radius of 90 km.
The change in its program schedule in November 2018 allows it to broadcast nowadays 24 hours a day. In addition, the initiative of a Mother Radio (based in Ouagadougou) to coordinate the Network of Catholic Radio of Burkina Faso has enabled the RCT to significantly rearrange its schedule which devotes seven (7) hours of its daily program to synchronization. for the benefit of this Network, visible link of a national Church which wants to be family on the Burkinabé territory.
