Application Communication Journal uses images as an alternative to regular communication with persons with impaired communication skills and especially supplement to the newspaper printed communication used by people with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). However, it can be used wherever there is any difficulty with verbal communication - cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, dysphasia, aphasia, etc.
The app is inspired by the existing alternative methods of communication and augmentativními (AAK), of which the best known is the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) or Bliss. Means of communication are therefore visual symbols, such as pictures, pictograms, photographs. The aim of this application is to support the development of communication skills.
The application is equipped with a basic set of images divided into sections. The maximum configurability by allowing you to set its appearance according to your own needs - move or hide the images, setting the order of sections or create new ones, change colors etc. The kit can further develop saving their own images and photos. It also includes a parental mode.
Application development took place under the auspices of the Foundation of comets in collaboration with Mr. George Mark and company MoroSystems, with centers of early care and elementary schools focused on working with children with autism spectrum disorder.
