If the player does not have a mine after clicking the square, a number will appear on it. This number represents how many mines are in the adjacent square (the number is at most 8), and the player must use logic to infer which blocks contain or not. The player can press and hold on the square speculating the mine to place the flag to indicate the location of the mine; if you press and hold again, the banner disappears and becomes a blank square.
