Open Blocks is an application for sharing free educational content between teacher and student users. It adapts to several types of needs in the field of education for countries, schools or organizations.
The application is based on an open and hierarchized block system. Users register by choosing whether they are teachers or learners; then choose or create one or more blocks in which they can post content for students or simply access content posted by teachers or shared by other students.
Open Blocks is inspired by the famous moodle platform from which it draws the main functionalities. The app is used for education in several countries, universities and colleges around the world. The 2019 health crisis reinforced the use of Open Blocks which reached more than 10 million users. The latest country is Cameroon where teachers use it to share content with their students.
