It is important for any democratic society to have a space, free and open to all, in order to be able to build, exchange, discuss, on subjects deemed sensitive and important for the well-being of the community in general. It is therefore with this idea in mind that the Project Pamoja App was born. It therefore aims to provide civil society, African youth in general, a safe space to discuss everything that affects their lives, their countries and their continent.
The safety of people and their property having also been identified as a problem in several African countries, and the lack of an alarm system, we have chosen to kill two birds with one stone, incorporating the Resk-U option. in the app. A simple option that will allow users of the application to call for help when needed. Needs that can knock on anyone's door at any time; Security, Fire, Health, and distress beacon.
Problems :
1. Lack of a platform for discussion, awareness and debate allowing youth and civil society in general to organize themselves in the face of the challenges facing the community, the country.
2. Lack of an alert and rapid response system in the event of imminent danger such as 911.
Target Population:
The entire African population with access to a smartphone and an internet connection. This includes students, homemakers, non-governmental organizations, government institutions and any other political, social and/or economic actors, as the topics of discussion are not limited to a single sector.
Goals :
1. The main objective of pamoja is to give voice to the many voiceless in the Africa through its weekly topics which will be selected on the basis of major topics of newspapers, proposals from users, and also from partners wishing to address a particular problem.
2. Publish at the end of each week a summary of the discussions that took place on the platform and the online conference debates on our other social networks in relation to the subject of the week concerned.
3. Provide users with an alert system that can be useful in situations where calling by phone is not appropriate or possible.
Pamoja brings you closer not only to those who are far away, but also and above all to those who are very close to you.
