THE STORY
Pia has discovered a key and a card in her children's room and is going out into nature to start her learning journey. The map helps her find the right path because it is a sound map. With the card, she hears the noises of animals or everyday objects and thus finds the right way to a hidden tree house. What is there to discover in the tree house? A magic tablet, a secret hiding place and a telescope with which you can observe the night sky. And everywhere fun and varied educational games are waiting to be tried out to learn more about sounds and letters.
THE BACKGROUND
In PiAS learning journey, each of the six mini-games actively supports the development of phonological awareness in preschool age. Well-known games such as the memory or puzzle game meet new game ideas such as the sound game, playing with the magic board or the telescope game. In each educational game, the child practices listening to similarities in initial sounds and separating different sounding initial sounds from one another. This perception and understanding strengthens language development in preschool age and makes an important contribution to later learning to read and write in school. Because Pia's learning journey is based on the children's book and is structured as a story and takes between 15 and 20 minutes to learn and play. If the story remains the same, the tasks adapt to the child's level of learning.

PiAS Education is a young startup from Saxony with the aim of developing learning apps for preschool in order to prepare for school with joy and in a learning-effective manner.
Our goal is to provide active support in relevant pre-school areas - playfully, scientifically based and with an adaptive learning adaptation. The learning areas rhymes, initials and letters actively support phonological awareness and prepare for reading and writing in school.
PiAS learning journey ANLAUTE is the second of a total of three learning apps. The first learning trip on the subject of rhymes has already been published. The third learning app on letters will complete Pia's learning journey and is planned for autumn 2021. All three learning trips complete the promotion of phonological awareness.
