About Tennispark Buitenveldert

From untouched nature to 23 tennis courts ...

Tennispark Buitenveldert was once a park where nature could grow untouched. With playful hedges, wild roses and so many trees that it was hardly distinguishable from the nearby Amsterdamse Bos. That time will be remembered with some nostalgia.

Builder and designer Jan Frans de Mooy laid the foundation for Tennispark Buitenveldert in 1932, then called the Nieuwe Meer.

In 1981 Jaap Pluim became the owner. Under his management, the tennis park has retained a lot of greenery and intimacy, but the park has nevertheless grown into a modern sports center with 15 outdoor and 8 indoor courts. The regular players are ALTC Buitenveldert, Maccabi Amsterdam, Tennisschool Buitenveldert and Hugo Ekker Tennis Academy.

Tennispark Buitenveldert is known for its fun tournaments, the winter competition on Sundays and the reservation of indoor and outdoor courts. After your sporting achievements you can relax in the cozy sports café.
