The app supports you during the race in the simplest way by continuously sending your GPS position to our own live tracking system and gives you all the important information about the course of the race and your position. The athletes and the audience can thus follow everyone's position in real time.
After you have logged in with your email address, the app shows you all your turnpoints directly on the integrated Swisstopo map. You can use the map to plan your next hike to the next starting point or turnpoint. The turnpoints you have already completed are marked. So you always know where you are in the race.
You can get even more detailed information from the live ranking list integrated in the app, which continuously shows you which intermediate goals, times and total points you and your competitors have achieved. Of course, this can still change during the race.
Spectators and interested parties have the opportunity to follow the positions and tracks of all race participants live. You can also download your own track or the tracks of the others and analyse them later in more detail.
You can easily send a link to your friends at any time so that they can follow you in the race. Your friends don't have to install the app, because the LiveTracking can be viewed on any browser (even mobile).
Known issues:
Using the XCTrack app at the same time as an external GPS/Vario paired via Bluetooth can cause XCTrack to freeze. This is an XCTrack problem over which we have no control.
