Sprachpedia allows you to search and read Wikipedia articles by voice. Speech media is therefore particularly suitable for visually impaired people for whom the screen content of a smartphone can no longer be seen.
The app is operated exclusively by voice and gestures.
The app starts on the home screen and begins to explain the operation. Subsequently, the voice input can be started by pressing the display and the search term can be uttered as a result. After a short time, an acoustic signal signals that the voice entry has ended. Then the Wikipedia article belonging to the search term is read out. This can be canceled by swiping to the right. If this is the case or the Wikipedia article is over, a new search command can be uttered.
