Established in 1959 on the auspicious day of Deepawali , National Academy (High School) is the oldest educational institution in Udhampur,J&K . Started as Primary School, it added Middle and High classes as years passed . The founder Advocate Vidya Dhar Sharma (M.A , B.Ed , LLB) was among the first few trained post graduates from Delhi University in the town . In early 1980’s he handed over the torch of education to his son Sh. Vishwa Mohan Sharma (B.A , L.L.B) who is presently working as an Administrator of the school . Mrs. Nisha Sharma (M.A , B.Ed) is an illustrious Principal of the school since 1984 . Under the guidance of Administrator and Principal, the school has touched rare heights in Academics and extra curricular activities .
