1. Program
GARBAMINA is designed in an integrated and intact manner by involving various stakeholders in the value chain including academics and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Under the coordination of the DKPP, the program also includes related fisheries associations.
2. Purpose
This program was implemented to answer the challenges of the fisheries sector in Purbalingga, including:
- Policy Level: The need to prepare a sustainable fisheries export development strategy.
The need to change the characteristics of Indonesian fisheries exports which have a "high volume - low value" towards adding a high value. This condition shows that there is a great opportunity for adding value-export of fishery products through sustainable environmental certification (Eco-label), better technology, increased skills and productivity of labor and the availability of adequate services for entrepreneurs. These things have not been fully realized by the stakeholders.
- Market Network: there is still a need to develop effective trade promotion activities to expand market networks and overseas buyers.
