Dungeon Master: [checks notes] The barkeep says "My name is Mirmofim! Nice to meet you."
Player: I ask Mirmofim the name of the waiter.
DM: [checks notes] Mirmofim says "The waiter is named Kurotoplac."
Player: I ask Kurotoplac the name of the person at the next table.
DM: [checks notes, sees nothing] Uh, that's... um... Stags! Yes, her name is Stags.
Player: I ask Stags what her brother's name is.
DM: [shakes head in frustration] Stags says "My brother? His name is.... Derrick Strongshield.
Player: So generic! And her other brother is English-First-Name AdjectiveWeapon? Sister Sara Swiftarrow? Booooring! What are we, twelve years old?
DM: [DM looks around the room]... Basket!"
Player: [wrinkles her nose] Basket? What kind of name is that? [turns around in chair] Did you just see that basket on the table and call the Barkeep's waiter's customer's brother Basket? Didn't you prepare for this encounter at all?
DM: Did I say Basket? I meant... Teksab!
Player: Why, that's just Basket backwards! Look, if you can't set a scene, you can't expect us to take this campaign seriously. I'm done!
The DM watches everyone leave, wishing he had an easy-to-use app that generated -- and pronounced -- a huge variety of names.
