QX1 Welcome Map is an information platform dedicated to newcomers arriving in a city:
- Find and contact the facilities dedicated to migrants in Venice.
- Discover the experiences of newcomers to our city.
- Listen to the presentations of places and testimonials of their users in different languages.
The project was launched in 2016 by the Collectif Transbordeur in the city of Marseille.
In addition to the app, the QX1 platform consists of a multilingual website, info points in the reception areas of the city, paper supports such as information brochures and large format maps (Welcome Map), displayed in the premises of the partner structures.
Versions of the QX1 Welcome Map are being developed in other cities (in particular in Milan and Marseille).
The Collectif Transbordeur and the Ponte Association encourage and support groups wishing to develop new local versions of this platform by sharing their experience, methodology and IT tools.
